This new, graphically rich, 7-hour course provides an in-depth look into developing credible assignments results when appraising manufactured homes. As part of the course, the appraiser will use embedded virtual technology to conduct a site inspection and complete a weighted data capture worksheet. We will share insight into CHOICEHomeSM—a new high-quality manufactured home that’s built to HUD manufactured home standards, but are designed with stick/site-built features.
You’ll learn how to meet the requirements established by Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the Veterans’ Administration (VA), and Fannie Mae. Also, you will learn how to represent your findings in Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) format 1004C or 70B forms.
The course begins with a review of the history of manufactured housing. This is important because many older mobile homes are still in residential use. The history segment is followed by how manufactured homes are built today in factory settings. After we have laid the groundwork to ensure you know what you’re looking at, we will begin conducting a cost approach and comparable sales exercises to hone your appraising skills.
