Ohio Ethics: The code and the Canon 3 hours

Real estate professionals in Ohio must follow the Canon of Ethics, which outlines the professional guidelines expected of licensees. While many state regulatory authorities cover illegal behavior and grounds for discipline in license law, the Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing in Ohio is actually quite unique in having a published code of conduct.

In addition to the Canon, Ohio agents must also be cognizant of Section 4735.18 of Ohio revised code, which dictates the grounds for disciplinary actions. These prohibited actions work in tandem and often reinforce the guidelines in the Canon of Ethics.
