Ohio Understanding the Code of Ethics 3.5 hour

All Realtors® are bound by a strong Code of Ethics. While most of us have a general idea of what this means, the National Association of REALTORS® has a clearly defined “Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice” to which all Realtors® must adhere.

This Code is over 100 years old and was originally created as a standard of practice for all real estate professionals who wanted to separate themselves from the unscrupulous acts of the many swindlers operating without any controls at the time. The Code of Ethics extends beyond the scope of traditional business ethics in many ways and codifies the ethical standards for Realtors® to abide.
