Site Registration & Course Purchases

All purchases with American Continuing Education Institute, Ltd dba Calypso Continuing Education are protected by Comodo SSL. We use Authorize.net to process payments. Once payment is approved our system automatically generates an email with log in information that you will use to access and begin your course.

Refunds Policy

There are no refunds once you have enrolled in a course. All purchases are final.

We accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express. All orders will require you to provide your email address and telephone number in the event that we need to contact you regarding your order.

Privacy Policy

We know how important your privacy is to you. We do not store your information on our website. We never sell or share customer information. The information we collect from you allows us to: process and track your order, contact you if necessary, send related information and sale notices to you, and improve our customer service.

If products are required to augment your online educational experience, we may use other companies to provide these products. Certain services, including credit card processing and shipping are provided by other companies. In these instances, we will only provide these companies with information necessary for them to perform their services.

Will Calypso courses run on my tablet?

Calypso Continuing Education courses use Adobe Flash technology. Adobe Flash Player is free to download and install. If you are having problems viewing our courses, check to see that Flash is installed and updated.

Some of the additional educational materials available with our courses are supplied in PDF format. You will need a PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat, to view those resources.  Acrobat Reader is free to download and install.

Calypso Continuing Education courses work with most modern web browsers and operation systems.

Our Recommendation: To get the best experience with our website and courses, we strongly recommend using Mozilla Firefox or  Google Chrome. You can download either browser for free using the preceding links.  Apple’s Safari browser also works well. Internet Explorer is supported, though some students have reported display issues when using it. It is recommended that when using Internet Explorer you update to the newest version available.

An internet connection of 1Mbps (one megabit per second) or higher is recommended in order to view the Calypso Continuing Education Appraiser and Environmental courses. How do your Seminars work?

Our seminars are online courses that you can work on at your own pace. We do not hold webinars. There is some reading involved, however our seminars are loaded with videos and other interactive content to help keep you interested for ease of learning.

How long do I have to complete my course?

After initial purchase you have six months to complete the course. In the event you require additional time, contact us by e-mail or telephone and additional time will be granted at no additional cost.

Exams

Calypso Continuing Education courses provide  questions designed to test the student’s mastery of the learning objectives and reinforce the student/learners retention. To ensure students understand the important information supplied during the seminars, quizzes are administered at the end of each chapter and an exam at the end of the course.* All of the quizzes and exam are designed to meet the following criteria:

  • The conditional quizzes at the end of most chapters prevent the student from moving forward to the next chapter until they have demonstrated sufficient mastery of the subject;
  • The quizzes and exam contain a sufficient number of questions with a revolving pool of questions that are designed to test the student’s mastery of the subject matter and reinforce the learning process;
  • All questions both individually and collectively, test at a difficulty level appropriate to measure student achievement of the stated course learning objectives;
  • Successful completion of the examination(s) requires the student to answer a minimum of 70% of the questions correctly;
  • Examination questions are written in a clear and unambiguous manner; and,
  • The examinations are not proctored, but appraisers are required to complete an affidavit attesting they are the individuals accessing the course and completing all quizzes and exams.

* In those states where an exam is not required for accreditation, the exams have been disabled.

Certificates

Yes. The website will generate a printable certificate once the course is complete. The certificate is in PDF (Adobe) format. Run your mouse over the bottom left hand corner of your screen and you will see a box with options to print and save your certificate. You can print it as many times as you wish.

 

Multiple Certificates

Yes. Simply call us at (877) 640-5140 or email us at support@calypsoedu.com and we will email extra Certificates at no additional charge.

 

Report credit completion

Calypso reports course completion weekly to states that require it. Please always retain a copy of your certificate of completion for your records.
